Experimental stress analysis of fixed partial dentures by use of a dynamic method.

چکیده
Gold and chromium alloy fixed partial dentures of the maxillary posterior type have been studied with respect to surface strains using conditions of static loading. The two techniques used were the brittle lacquer' and electronic strain gauge2'3 methods. Brumfield4 presented work on the analysis of partial denture design using the classical beam theory. Bates5 measured dynamic strains on chromium-cobalt partial dentures using silicon transducer strain gauges and an oscilloscope. This report describes a dynamic loading and stress analysis system; the strain as a function of time for a single impact was measured on gold and chromium alloy posterior partial dentures.

Stress Distribution in Natural Tooth and Implant Supported Removable Partial Denture with Different Attachment Types: A Photoelastic Analysis
Background and Aim: Different attachment designs have been developed to connect implant to natural teeth in partial dentures; however, adequate studies have not been performed to determine stress distribution patterns in these designs. The present study aimed to assess stress distribution patterns in natural tooth and implant supported removable partial denture with different attachment designs...
متن کاملMaterial Defects Identification in Metal Ceramic Fixed Partial Dentures by En-Face Polarization Sensitive Optical Coherence Tomography
The fixed partial dentures are mainly used in the frontal part of the dental arch because of their great esthetics. There are several factors that are associated with the stress state created in ceramic restorations, including: thickness of ceramic layers, mechanical properties of the materials, elastic modulus of the supporting substrate material, direction, magnitude and frequency of applied ...
متن کاملتعیین توزیع تنش استخوان اطراف ایمپلنتهای فک پایین در طرحهای مختلف پروتز به هنگام Mandibular- Flexure
Statement of Problem: In the treatment of edentulous patients with implant supported fixed partial dentures several factors such as implant numbers, implant position, superstructure pattern and cantilever length must be considered. Mandibular flexture in function exerts forces in peri-implant bone, however this phenomenon has received little attention. Purpose: The goal of this finite element a...
متن کاملComparison of using different bridge prosthetic designs for partial defect restoration through mathematical modeling
OBJECTIVE To analyze the stress-strain states of bone and abutment teeth during the use of different prosthetic designs of fixed partial dentures with the use of relevant mathematical modeling principles. MATERIALS AND METHODS The use of Comsol Multiphysics 3.5 (Comsol AB, Sweden) software during the mathematical modeling of stress-strain states provided numerical data for analytical interpre...
متن کاملInvestigating the Stress Distribution Applied to Edentulous Ridge from Polyamide and Cobalt-Chrome Removable-Partial-Dentures using Three-Dimensional Finite-Element-Analysis
Abstract: Objective: The objective of this study was to compare the Von-Mises-stress (VMS) distribution applied to the edentulous ridges from a Polyamide RPD (PRPD) with those from a Cobalt-Chrome RPD (CCRPD). Materials and Methods: A patient with mandibular Kennedy Class I, Mod I was selected. The patientchr(chr('39')39chr('39'))s CBCT was cut off at 1 mm sections from the axial dimension. ...
